1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TheFocusTask ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

TheFocusTask is a web-based task management application that offers features such as Kanban boards, Pomodoro timer, Focus mode, smart suggestions, calendar views, cloud sync, and more. The Service is available through a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

  • Access to the Service requires an active subscription processed through Lemon Squeezy.
  • We offer two plans: Monthly ($2.99/month) and Annual ($19.99/year).
  • All new plans include a 7-day free trial.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile or the Lemon Squeezy portal.

4. Payments and Refunds

  • Payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy.
  • TheFocusTask does not store credit card or banking information.
  • Refunds can be requested within 14 days of purchase by contacting thefocustask@gmail.com.
  • When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.

5. User Data

  • Your tasks, notes, and settings are stored securely in the cloud via Supabase with encrypted connections.
  • Data is associated with your email and syncs automatically across all your devices.
  • A local copy is also kept in your browser for offline access and faster loading.
  • All data transmissions are encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
  • You can export your data at any time using the built-in backup feature.
  • You can request complete deletion of your cloud data by contacting us.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass the subscription system or access the Service without authorization.
  • Share your account or credentials with third parties.
  • Use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

TheFocusTask, including its design, code, logos, and content, is the property of its creators. Reproduction, distribution, or modification of the Service without express authorization is not permitted.

8. Limitation of Liability

TheFocusTask is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for data loss, service interruptions, or direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Service. While we maintain encrypted cloud backups, we recommend using the built-in export feature for additional safety.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and, if significant, users will be notified by email.
